How Decisions Are Made

Every action an agent can take is mapped to one of three gates. The gate determines whether the operator sees it, when, and how much friction sits between intent and execution.

  • AUTO

    The agent ships. No notification. Reserved for routine, reversible, non-shared actions — reading, drafting, local file edits, internal queue work.

  • NOTIFY

    The agent ships and tells the operator after. Used for medium-stakes actions: sending an internal message, booking a meeting, generating a draft for review.

  • APPROVE

    The operator sees it before it ships. Used for spending money, sending external messages, deploying to production, anything one-way.

The gates make autonomy legible. The operator never wonders what an agent did or didn't take on its own — the gate sets the contract before the action runs.

Memory works the same way. Each agent has a vault of operational state, a layer of behavioral preferences, and a shared brain across the constellation. Nothing important lives only in the conversation.

This is the architecture. One operator, eight agents, three live entities, three decision gates. Built so a single human can run what used to require a team, without giving up the judgment that makes the company worth running.
